Do We Have Christ if We Reject His Commandments?

ten commandments

I realize this concept is hard and uncomfortable for many
believers that God would reject someone who has had His Holy Spirit (or grace through the Shekinah glory- O.T.) at one point in their lives then lost it. But it is a fact supported by scripture in the Old Testament, the New Testament, many of Jesus’ parables and the churches in Revelation 2 and 3.

The five unwise virgins “lost” or “quenched the Spirit” (1Thessalonians 5:19) because they were living in unrepentant sin or committing willful sin, which is the ONLY way someone could lose the Holy Spirit.

Today there is still time for unrepentant sinners to seek
forgiveness daily through the Lord’s Prayer BEFORE our high priest at the end stands up and says, “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.” (Rev 22:11) When He stands up that’s it; time’s up.

“Cast into the fire” (from John 15) is a phrase that means the same as “there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth”; it means final eternal damnation.

Jesus said in John chapter 15 :
“I am the true Vine,

and my Father is the husbandman.
Every branch in Me that beareth not fruit
He taketh away…”

“I am the Vine, ye are the branches…”

“If a man abide not in Me,
he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered;

and men gather them,
and cast them into the fire,
and they are burned.”

Which sounds like the destruction described in Isaiah 27:11:

“When the boughs thereof are withered,
they shall be broken off:
the women come, and set them on fire:
for it is a people of no understanding:
therefore He that made them will not have mercy on them,
and He that formed them will shew them no favour.”

The natural olive branches that were broken off in Romans chapter 11; were removed from the Body of Christ because of their “unbelief” which is disobedience to “the Law of Faith”, and “the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus”.

The Apostle Paul post resurrection of Jesus told the new converted believers to take heed or else God would remove them from the Body of Christ also.

Romans 11:21
“For if God spared not the natural branches,
take heed lest He also spare not thee.”

John 12:46
I am come a Light into the world,
that whosoever believeth on Me
should not abide in darkness.”

{darkness is sin – they should not live in sin}

John 15:10
“If ye keep My commandments,
ye shall abide in My love;
even as I have kept my Father’s commandments,
and abide in His love.”

1John 2:4
“He that saith, I know Him,

and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar,

and the Truth is not in him.”

{ The Truth is Jesus Christ – His Holy Spirit }

Revelation 22:14
“Blessed are they that do His commandments,
that they may have right to the tree of life,
and may enter in through the gates into the city.”

The righteous are sealed until the day of redemption so long as they do not quench the Holy Spirit by departing from God. (1 Thessalonians 5:19)

God will never leave nor forsake those who are abiding in Him and keeping His commandments and covenant. Today there is still time for unrepentant sinners to seek forgiveness daily through the Lord’s Prayer BEFORE our high priest at the end stands up.

If anyone who was in Him but who choose to depart from Him through sinning, has not repented by the time the Lord Jesus
Christ stands up and shuts the door, they will be cut off by God the Father who is the husbandman.

Abiding in God is conditional. It is contingent upon keeping His commandments. The only one who is permanently sealed (which means is immortal who will never have to die again) is the Lord Jesus Christ. Believers are sealed with His seal per scripture (His Holy Spirit). That is why if we are abiding in Him we have life; but if we do not abide in Him we do not have life.

John 6:27
“Labour not for the meat which perisheth,
but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life,
which the Son of man shall give unto you:
for Him hath God the Father sealed.”

If we do not keep His commandments we do not have Christ.
If we do not have Christ we do not have His Holy Spirit.

If we do not have the Holy Spirit we are not sealed.
If we are not sealed we do not have eternal life.

2John 1:9
“Whosoever transgresseth,
and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.
He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ,
he hath both the Father and the Son.”

Acts 5:32
“And we are his witnesses of these things;
and so is also the Holy Ghost,
whom God hath given to them that obey Him.”
