The Ten Commandments
The Ten Commandments are called “The Words of the Covenant”
The scripture below describes Moses on top of Mount Sinai receiving from God some of the words of His Everlasting Covenant which are also known as the Ten Commandments.
“And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights;
he did neither eat bread, nor drink water.
And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant,
The Ten Commandments.”
“Be ye mindful always of His covenant;
the word which He commanded to a thousand generations;”
In my next post I’ll show the approximation of how many generations there have been from Bible records given from Adam until the cross of Christ so we can get an idea of how long it would take to get to a thousand generations.
“He hath remembered His covenant for ever,
the word which He commanded to a thousand generations.”
